All Satellite Symposia will be advertised in the Final Programme of EWMA 2008. Rates vary with the size of the room, with the time of the symposium and with the exclusiveness of the symposium. The price for Type A Satellite Symposia is higher because there are few parallel sessions, they are in large rooms and most are placed early in the day.

Symposia approval

All symposia must be approved by the Scientific Committee of EWMA 2008 and be chaired or co-chaired by a council member from one of the organising societies or someone appointed by EWMA.

Symposia speakers

All speakers must register for the conference. Registration, accommodation and travelling must be covered by the company for any invited speaker or chairperson from the organisations. If a speaker is used by several companies' costs will be split evenly. The companies must pay even though the speaker is also an invited speaker at the Scientific Conference and the costs would otherwise have been covered by the conference budget.

A Symposium

EUR 30.000. A Symposia will usually take place in one of the main auditoria (Auditorium I, pax 1500, Auditorium II, pax 400, or Auditorium VI+VII, pax 700). The rate is for one slot of up to 90 minutes. Typically, there will only be one or two sessions parallel with an A Symposium. Space for 2 roll-up banners are included. Invitation for the conference bag and simultaneous translation included.

B Symposium

EUR 20.000. Type B symposia include a seminar in an intermediate room of 200-450 persons. The rate is for one slot of up to 90 minutes. 1 roll-up space and invitation for the conference bag is included.

C Symposium

EUR 8.000. Type C Symposia include a small seminar room seating 50-150 persons. The rate is for one slot of typically 60 minutes. 1 roll-up space and invitation for the conference bag is included.

Satellite Workshop

EUR 8,000. In a satellite workshop, you can give the participants a hands-on experience with your product. There will be room for 30-60 persons. The rate is for one slot of typically 60 minutes. 1 roll-up space is and invitation for the conference bag is included.

Email Announcement

EUR 500. You can use this option to announce your satellite symposia and satellite workshops. The announcements will be sent out a few days prior the conference. Please contact the conference secretariat for further information.

To book symposia, please forward the following information along with the preferred type of symposium to the Conference Secretariat:

Name of symposium speaker: 1 February 2008

Meeting/storage rooms

VIP room
Near the exhibition, a number of VIP rooms are available for rent. These can accommodate 30 - 70 persons. Please contact the Conference Secretariat for availability and prices.

Meeting rooms
A number of rooms will be available for business meetings. Typical meeting room size: 10-20 persons. Please contact the Conference Secretariat for availability and prices.
