Oral Presenters Instructions

Please bring your presentation to the Speakers Preparation room (at least 2 hours before your presentation).

A technician will assist you in transferring the presentation into a central conference server. When the transfer is complete, the technician performs a quick run of the presentation in order for you to check whether the presentation runs correctly and all parts of the presentation are copied.

We do not allow the use of personal laptops for presentations. Please bring your presentation on CD, DVD or memory stick.

At the end of the conference, all presentations will be deleted so no copyright issues will arise. The location of the Speakers Presentation room will be shown in the Final Programme you receive when registering at the registration desk.

Please note that a company logo of a sponsoring company is only allowed to be shown on one slide during the presentation.

Abstracts will be published on the EWMA homepage. Please also consider submitting your work as an article for EWMA Journal.

Your deadline for registration to the low rate is extended 14 days after final acceptance. The presenting author has to register as active participant in the Conference. If you have not already registered, please go to the registration page.

Please observe that EWMA has the right not to publish Abstracts which are not followed by a participant registration (and payment) minimum 1 monthprior to the Conference.

Poster Instructions

Please observe the following, when you prepare your poster:

All posters should include title, name of authors, institution, city and country. The lettering of the title should be a least 25 mm high and the main text at least 10 mm high. The poster should be easily readable from a distance of 2 meters.

The measurement of your poster should be approximately A0 Portrait, (maximum 120 cm high x 90 wide - 47 in. high and 34 in. wide).

Please bring your poster to the conference yourself - do not send.

First Time Presenters Prize

This award is designed to encourage people, who have not previously presented their work at an international conference. To be eligible for this prize you must have submitted your abstract to EWMA and you must be a "novice presenter".

That is, you should not have presented previously at an international conference. Papers that have been submitted elsewhere are not eligible for this prize. A panel of judges will attend the presentation sessions.

Value of prize:
The value of the First Time Presenter prize will be € 450.

How to apply:
Please confirm that you are applying for this award when submitting your abstract online. Furthermore, you should send a letter to the Conference Secretariat stating that this is your first presentation at an international conference, and you should enclose a letter from your employer, supervisor or manager, confirming that you have not presented previously at an international conference.

Poster Prizes

These awards are designed to reward the considerable work that goes into preparing a poster for presentation at the conference. To be eligible for consideration you must have a paper accepted for poster presentation at the EWMA 2008 conference.

Posters that have been submitted/presented elsewhere are not eligible for a poster prize. A panel of judges will attend the poster session, and authors are strongly encouraged to be present at these sessions in order to answer questions concerning their work.

The panel will award 3-5 poster prizes.

Value of poster prizes:
The value of each poster prize will be € 200.

Your accepted poster will automatically be considered for this award, provided that it has not previously been submitted elsewhere.
