General history
Patricia Price is a Chartered Health Psychologist and a Director of the Wound Healing Research Unit in Cardiff at the University of Wales College of Medicine.  After completing her initial degree in Psychology and Education, Tricia won an SSRC scholarship to study for a Ph.D. at the University of Wales College Cardiff.

Following a range of post-doctoral and assistant lecturing appointments, she started lecturing in Health Psychology, Research Design and Statistics in the mid-1980s. Her interests in wound care started in 1993, following her work in the psychometric testing of psychological characteristics and health-related quality of life. Her interests are wide-ranging but focus on the measurement of patient experiences of living with wounds, the patient awareness of risk, patient experience of care and non-medical outcome measures, including health economics, health-related quality of life and methods of evaluating care.

She recently led a successful bid to set up The Healing Foundation UK Centre for Burns Research.
